Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Offerbench (the “Service”). By creating an account or running a scan, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

What Offerbench does

Offerbench compares a resume you provide against a job description you provide, and returns a match score, a list of keywords that appear in the job description but not your resume, basic formatting checks, and suggested edits. It is an informational tool to help you improve your application materials.

No guarantee of results

Offerbench does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any hiring outcome. Our score is our own estimate based on keyword and formatting analysis; it is not produced by, endorsed by, or connected to any employer or applicant tracking system vendor. Different employers configure their screening software differently, and many factors outside your resume affect hiring decisions.

Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. One free scan is provided per account; creating multiple accounts to bypass this limit is not permitted.

Subscriptions and billing

The Pro plan costs $30 per month and renews automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months, but if something goes wrong, reach us via our contact form and we’ll deal with it fairly. We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to misrepresent your qualifications, upload content you have no right to share, attempt to scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, resell access, or overload our infrastructure with automated requests. We may suspend accounts that do these things.

Your content

You keep all rights to the resumes and other text you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll notify account holders by email or by a notice on the site.

Liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time via our contact form. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
